Independent iOS Developer
Small, focused apps. Built one at a time.
Three iOS apps built by one developer. A planner that respects students, a bedtime story app for kids, and a vocabulary app that doesn't infantilize adults.
Approach
How I build. Three principles.
- 01
Opinion over options
Most apps optimize for flexibility — a setting for every preference, a screen for every workflow. These optimize for opinion. Skedra picks how a semester is shaped. Fablora picks how a story unfolds. Flashwords picks which words you'll actually use. Two strong choices beat fifty soft ones.
- 02
Calm by default
No streaks. No "you're losing your progress" panic. No mascots. The screen never yells at you to come back. If a feature only works because the user feels guilty about not using it, it doesn't ship — even when the metrics love it.
- 03
Built to stay
Indie apps ship and disappear. Flashwords has been on the App Store since 2018. Skedra is on its second year. Fablora ships every couple of weeks. None of them are abandoned betas — they're maintained on the same schedule, by the same person, year after year.
