These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Quotie app (the “Service”). By using Quotie, you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). Where these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA conflict, the more user-protective of the two applies.
1. The service
Quotie is a daily-inspiration quotes app — curated quotes across twelve categories, displayed on full-screen gradient cards with gesture-based navigation, bookmarking, sharing, Home Screen widgets, and an Apple Watch companion. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, to use Quotie.
3. Your use
- You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You are responsible for keeping your device secure.
- Quotie does not require an account. Your bookmarks and preferences are stored locally on your device.
4. Subscription and payment
- Quotie is free to download and use with advertisements.
- The Quotie Premium subscription removes all advertisements and unlocks the full feature set including extended categories and premium content.
- Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current renewal period ends.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings or in the App Store → Subscriptions.
- Refund requests are subject to Apple’s refund policy.
- Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes and may vary by region or currency.
5. Advertising
Free-tier users will see ads delivered by Google AdMob. Ads are subject to your consent choice under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can change your ATT preference for Quotie at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Quotie.
6. Content
- The quote texts included in Quotie are sourced from the public domain or attributed works where the author’s identity is recorded. We make reasonable efforts to attribute authorship accurately.
- The Quotie app, branding, design, gradient set, and infrastructure remain the intellectual property of the developer.
- You may share individual quote images generated by the app for personal non-commercial use, provided the Quotie watermark is not removed.
- You may not reproduce or redistribute the quote database commercially without written permission.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, abuse, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its backend.
- Attempt to bypass subscription enforcement, ad-removal logic, or authentication systems.
- Reverse engineer the app or its API beyond what applicable law permits.
- Use the app or its content in a way that violates any applicable law or the rights of third parties.
8. Push notifications and local notifications
Quotie may send local notifications as daily reminders if you have granted notification permission. You can disable these at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Quotie.
9. Service changes
We may update, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion. Material changes will be communicated through the app or App Store release notes where reasonable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quotie is provided without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or your inability to use it.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Istanbul courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction over any disputes, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction gives you additional rights that we cannot contractually override.
