These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Flashwords app (the “Service”). By using Flashwords, you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). Where these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA conflict, the more user-protective of the two applies.
1. The service
Flashwords is a vocabulary-first language-learning app — daily word practice, spaced repetition, and offline access across multiple languages. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, to use Flashwords.
3. Your use
- You’re responsible for keeping your device and any account credentials secure.
- Flashwords can be used without an account; if you choose to create one, you’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
4. Subscription and payment
- Flashwords is free to use with a limited feature set.
- The Flashwords Plus subscription unlocks full, unrestricted access and removes ads. Plans are available as 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month options.
- Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings.
- Refund requests are subject to Apple’s refund policy.
- Prices are inclusive of taxes where applicable and may vary by region.
5. Content rights
- The Flashwords app, its branding, word lists, and infrastructure remain the property of the developer.
- Word data is intended for personal learning only and may not be redistributed commercially.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, abuse, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or subscription enforcement.
- Reverse engineer the app or its backend beyond what’s permitted by law.
7. Service changes
We may update, modify, or discontinue features at our discretion. Material changes will be communicated in the app where reasonable.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flashwords is provided without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Istanbul courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction over any disputes, except where mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction applies.
